The Ornellaia 2021 Bolgheri Superiore Ornellaia offers an extra layer of richness, generosity and plushness that shapes a very open-knit and exuberant Tuscan red. The blend is 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 7% Petit Verdot. You feel the fruit and oak weight of the wine, the extract and the 15% alcohol content. All of these elements come together to big effect. From that power, you get black cherry, dark fruit, sweet spice and barbecue smoke. The fruit tannins are young, and this edition of Ornellaia proves worthy for medium or long-term drinking, especially as it softens up with more bottle age.

Ornellaia's 2021 vintage, aptly named "La Generosità " (Generosity), is part of the estate's esteemed Vendemmia d’Artista project, which celebrates the unique character of each vintage through artistic collaboration. For this edition, Italian artist Marinella Senatore was invited to interpret the theme of generosity. She crafted a series of collage-inspired labels that narrate Ornellaia's story—from the richness of its land to the vibrant energy of its community.
In each case of six 750 ml bottles of Ornellaia 2021, one bottle features Senatore's special artistic label, making it a distinctive addition for collectors and enthusiasts alike. This initiative not only underscores the winery's dedication to producing exceptional wines but also its commitment to intertwining art and viticulture, offering a multisensory experience that reflects the essence of each vintage.
