The 2019 Barrail Saint André is laced with wild cherry, tobacco, spice, cedar and dried herbs linger. This is an especially savory Saint-Émilion that reflects the personality of a cool-microclimate. I would have never guessed this to be 100% Merlot. There is a good bit of tannin, and yet all the elements are so nicely balanced. This is beautifully done.
