The 2022 Chablis Mont de Milieu 1er Cru feels a little subdued at the moment, perhaps just shrouded in some SO2. There feels like decent fruit concentration underneath that. The palate is well-balanced with a keen thread of acidity. This is an intense Mont de Milieu with a strict sapid finish. It's more malic than its peers, perhaps not a crowd-pleaser, but I think there is a classy wine here. Tasted blind at the BIVB tasting in Chablis.
