The 2023 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Demoiselles de la Font du Loup is a serious and superbly executed wine, unfurling in the glass with aromas of dark wild berries, spices, Provence herbs and a floral top note. Medium- to full-bodied, deep and layered, it’s supple and concentrated, with a fleshy core of fruit framed by velvety tannins and concluding with a long, spicy and refined finish. A blend of 80% Grenache Noir and 20% Syrah, this cuvée is matured predominantly in concrete tanks, with a modest proportion in used barrels. It's a structured yet graceful wine that speaks eloquently of its origins.
