Discreet if still easily perceptible wood sets off the wonderfully fresh and relatively high-toned aromas of mostly red currant, cherry, humus-tinged earth and a floral wisp. There is better volume to the tautly muscular and solidly powerful flavors that display excellent length on the moderately austere, compact and lengthy finish. This could use better depth so here too at least moderate patience is suggested.
