A completely different, and distinctly brooding, nose grudgingly reveals its aromas of red and dark currant, the sauvage and a whiff of forest floor character. The lighter weight flavors are very supple, indeed one could say forward, before tightening up on the dusty and lingering finish where a touch of asperity eventually surfaces. This is pretty enough but the balance isn't perfect.
