Cassis / crème de cassis (blackcurrant) — very marked and clean. Full‑bodied and concentrated. There’s density of fruit tempered by acidity and firm tannins. Tannins are ripe but still fairly powerful. The texture is often described as grainy (fine grains) or satin / velvet‑like when opened and after proper decanting.
