The 2023 Puligny-Montrachet Hameau de Blagny 1er Cru has a nicely composed bouquet, with well-integrated oak and scents of apple blossom, passion fruit and pear. It gains intensity as it opens in the glass. The palate is well balanced and fresh, with a keen line of acidity and quite a concentrated finish that needs a little more mineralité. Still, there is plenty of pleasure to be found here and it will drink well from the off.
