A discreet if perceptible application of wood is present on the very ripe aromas of dark berries and violet that stop just short of being a bit jammy. There is again good refinement and a velvety texture to the slightly finer but not denser lighter weight flavors that also conclude in a balanced, and youthfully austere finale that is shaped by firm but not hard tannins.
